Holidays were great here with Mum!

Now I am off to Berlin......very excited! Looking forward to see M and his hometown!

Mum has been here for a few days....and everything is going great!!

We are sleeping in and both catching up on rest! She loves it here and has helped fix up my room as only she can! It is more home-y which is great! She is meeting my people in my life here and I love how the people here were dying to meet her and scheduling my-mum-time.

I had a great weekend... it started with a Holiday Formal Hall in my College on Friday night. I walked into the pre-dinner drinks room and various people came up to me and said...."Oh Reb...you have flowers in the porters lodge...they are sooo beautiful." "Who are they from? Why?" "Oh Happy Birthday!" I had no idea so I went to the porters lodge and there was the most breath-taking floral masterpiece left for me. The Porter was excited that I have arrived and gave me the note card and it was from ARAG and NAG.......two of my favorite people. They did not have to do this just knowing their mere presence is always there for me in London is a great gift. THANK YOU!!!! (ps..ARAG I am lucky you used to be a florist in top place in London.)
I decided I would retrieve the flowers after formal hall.

I floated out of the mailroom and then bumped into my beau and it was a nice surprise and we were silly and smitten. He was talking then looked down at my formal dress and stopped mid sentence to say, "Oh wow you look wonderful, so beautiful." Then he sighed......ahhhhh yes! Then we kissed our first in College in Public...in College smooch.

After dinner I went back to retrieve my flowers and when I went back into the Bar/louge rooms the room was looking at this wonderful arrangment. I felt like a beauty pagent winner....so I start waving like one and everyone laughed.

Now I have spent 3 days with this arrangement...and the flowers are getting better.....amazing!

A friend of mine is going through some rough relationship stuff. I have been trying to help as I have had my share of up and downs in this department. I remembered back to my most difficult time and remember someone giving me this list (I think it was JASL or AG).... and it really helped me. I remember having to read this over and over again everyday.

Ahhh these are the days that make being in Grad School great......it is lunch times.

I get to have nice long lunches and everyone here is sooo close in location to each other that you can meet up and have lunch and not having it take a huge amount of work or time away.

The last two days I have had wonderful calls from the new beau asking me out for lunch. Yesterday was our first work time lunch and we meet up and ate at this little eatery and split a baguette and sushi. It was great. We had a nice long lunch and talk....so lovely. Then we walk around the daily open market to check out any possible Christmas trees (to which they are lame) and we walk around holding hands and smiling. Then he looks at me and stops me in front of a florist booth and says, "Ok pick out some flowers."
Me: "OH you are soo sweet you don't have to do that."
Him: "I want to and when a girl says No to flowers she really means yes .....Right?"
Me: "Oh ok....thank you!!!"

I picked a bunch of daffodils cause I love them and that I can get them here at this time of year and I love watching them open up.
Me: "I like those Daffodils they are pretty and make me happy when they open. I will take a bunch."
Him: "Please make that three bunches for her." ......with a kiss.

Soooo sweet. Yeah!!!! I love flowers they make me sooo happy!

Today was a lovely soup and splitting a chicken baguette at one of my favorite little lunch places, followed by biking around town enjoying each other. This led him to look at my bike and being disturbed by the low seat and status of my brakes. .....Oops I have been caught. ;)

Him: "Reb, Your seat is far too low for you."
Me: " Yeah Yeah Yeah....I know everyone says that....I need to by a new one cause this is on the max and I am just lazy. I know it is bad for my knees....I hear this all the time."
Him: "Yes your knees but also you look ridiculous!"
Me: (Shocked)...."Woah if you put it that way then I will change it....I don't want to look bad on my bike. I got used to it and besides putting my feet down is easier for me to stop when my brakes don't work."
Him: "Don't get me started on your brakes. This bike is going to be proper for you and fixed by next week."
Me: "Thank you" :)

--So far being 29 is a great thing.
--I am sick of being sick and hopefully medicine will fix my coughing.
--Certain people missed the birthday...and that is not cool. But lots of people didn't miss it and so that is sooo wonderful! Yeah!!! (Normally I don't get upset but for some reason this really erks me)
--I am so excited to have Holiday dinners, pick out my tree, and go to lots of fun parties.....(this happiness is multiplied with doing all of these activites with the new beau)
--New beau proves to be sweeter and cooler by the hour, by the day.....
--My mom is coming in 10days and I am sooooo excited I can't even think straight!
--I need to really get working in the lab....or I will be here forever!

Great Weekend

Yeah!!!

It was a great Birthday yesterday and weekend!!! I had such a wonderful time away with my Berlin Bear MG and a great time last night with my fun friends throwing me a surprise celebration! MG is awesome and I was treated like a princess. We had such a great time and this was the weekend I learned that he really makes me laugh so much. He is so easy to be around and our weekend up at the beach was great!




I think the sweetest thing is SAJF spending all day yesterday buying lots of treats and birthday items.....when I know he despises shopping deeply! He is sooo sweet.
