Train > Bus> Bus on Boat> Bus>Train Planes are stupid!!!

Planes....I don't need no stinking Plane!

I have been working myself into the ground in the lab pulling unspeakable hours…..because I need lots of results and BECAUSE this weekend I was spending 4 days in Paris with my BFFL SAJF (who is from there) and another buddy who lives there and we are staying with….nothing better than having locals take you around!!!!!

Knowing this trip was happening was my light at the end of the tunnel and keeping me sane. I was excited as I have been to Paris twice before but this was my first time by plane (I only have done Eurostar)!!!

Then all hell has broken loose this morning and everything is shut down……and after obsessive website checking/refreshing….we soon realized a few hours ago that our flight for tomorrow has been cancelled. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SAJF was soooo heartbroken…..I was devastated then I got crazed and said…..

Me: “Hey ok so no plane…..who cares we can still get there!!!!!”

SAJF: “ Sorry Reb we will go some other time……I am sooo sorry I wanted to show and take you around Paris.”

Me: “ NOOOOO we are going it is your FREAKING birthday MAN!!! Ok let check other flight options”………..NOTHING

“Lets take the Eurostar”……………….A Zillion dollars

SAJF: “I am soo sad”

Me: “Hey how about a boat?”

SAJF: “ You are crazy a boat takes forever?”

Me: “ DAMNIT SAJF…I have been working myself to death because I knew Paris was around the corner DON’T YOU QUIT ON ME NOW!!! I am prepare to swim to France….I NEED THIS! How long would the boat take…..US long or European Long….cause I am used to driving forever to go to a place!!!!!!!!!”

SAJF: “OK we can take a coach to Paris and it is really cheap, want to do this?”

Me: “Coach to Paris how is that possible? I am confused.”

SJAF: “Get on a Bus in London and the bus goes on a boat it takes 9hours.”

Me: “ LET’s DO IT”.

.......So folks tomorrow I will be taking a train to London to get on a bus to go on a ferry-boat (staying on the coach on the boat) to a bus to a train to Paris……….. 9hours BUT dirt cheap and an adventure!

I am excited. SAJF is excited as this way of getting to Paris will be a new one…and he says that he knows I can talk for 9hours and he loves to listen to me talk about things and my stories (….yes folk this friend is a blessing….he is the only person who looks forward to my babbling)

And still to date….. I will still have never flown to Paris…..
